Summary

This infographic provides an overview of the Evidence and Gap Map (EGM) developed by REL Pacific in partnership with the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) Public School System to support the selection of effective K–3 reading interventions. It provides an excerpt of the EGM and explains how to interpret improvement indices, ESSA evidence tiers, and literacy domains. It also demonstrates how educators can use the EGM and Supplemental Intervention Component Matrix to make data‑informed decisions aligned with student needs. Although developed for CNMI, the guidance may be useful to educators and leaders outside the region interested in evidence-based literacy interventions.
