Description: Members of the Cross-State Collaborative to Support Schools in the Opioid Crisis (CCSSOC) across the REL Appalachia (REL AP) states convened virtually for the fourth quarterly collaborative meeting. Representatives from state and local education agencies engaged in a panel discussion about student and educator needs and supports, particularly around mental health and trauma, as schools plan for re-opening in the fall. The REL AP team discussed mental health and trauma screening in schools and provided an example of implementing trauma screening with elementary school students.
