Summary

This is the second session of the four-part Developing Trauma-Sensitive Classrooms series, designed to help educators understand and implement evidence-based practices to support students and educators experiencing trauma. This session focuses on identifying students who need more intensive trauma-sensitive supports. • What trauma screening is (and is not).
  • The importance of screening students for experiences and effects of trauma.
  • How to communicate the benefits of screening and its results.

This series was originally developed with and delivered to educators and administrators in Marshall County Schools, Kentucky. These materials were used in the second year of the project.
