Description: REL Appalachia, in partnership with the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) provides a two-day workshop for K-12 educators to support the integration of social, emotional, and academic development (SEAD) within daily math instruction. KDE staff provide a grounding in the Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) for mathematics, and REL AP staff guide participants through the five competencies from the Center for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) framework and support making connections between the competencies and math tasks.

Audience: The intended audience for this workshop is K-12 math educators and the instructional leaders, coaches, and curriculum specialists who support them.
