Description: This workshop was designed to enhance REL staff's knowledge of and collaboration around measuring career readiness. Career readiness includes the knowledge, skills, and abilities to support students' transition to postsecondary education and training, and careers. The objectives of the workshop were to:
- Advance REL staff's knowledge of data, tools, and methods that are available for measuring career readiness for different purposes (for example, accountability, targeted student interventions, and research).
- Assist REL staff in understanding how to measure career readiness given their stakeholders' local context.
- Identify gaps in data, tools, and methods that are available for career readiness.
- Discuss how to move toward a comprehensible and comprehensive measure of career readiness.
- Determine the appropriate next steps to disseminate the information gained from the workshop to a broader audience.
- Identify opportunities for cross-REL collaboration on career readiness project activities in the future.
