This event will provide a review of MSDE's continuous improvement process, highlighting where root cause analysis fits into their framework. Dr. Bocala will provide attendees with an overview of the existing literature on root cause analysis, the research base, and the rationale for conducting such analyses. Following these overviews, attendees will be introduced to the root cause analysis tool and will be walked through the analysis process by Ms. Evan, as it pertains to school improvement. The event will conclude following a real-life example of root cause analysis and the impact it has on school improvement efforts.
