Supporting a More Diverse Teacher Workforce: Research and Promising Approaches: Efforts in Colorado

This REL Central webinar examined teacher diversity in Colorado, teacher diversity trends nationwide, how students benefit from having a diverse teacher workforce, and the student-teacher diversity gap at national, state, and regional levels. The webinar also provided information on why teacher workforce diversity is a priority in Colorado, legislation and policy that has been passed to address this need, and research-based policies and practices that support the recruitment, preparation, and retention of teachers of color.
