April 14, 2020

Time: 3:30 – 5:00 pm ET

Location: On24 Platform

Description: The spread of COVID-19, a highly infectious and dangerous upper respiratory-tract infection caused by the coronavirus, has caused schools and districts across the country to close their doors. These closures have forced states, districts, and schools to suddenly and unexpectedly grapple with a new reality: providing a quality education to every student remotely. Although educators across the mid-Atlantic region are already working hard to meet the needs of their students, this session intends to accomplish three main goals: (1) disseminate information about evidence-based practices and approaches in supporting effective remote learning, (2) share a high-level framework to help inform decision making by states, districts, and schools in responding to remote learning, and (3) highlight approaches to addressing equity concerns that arise from school closures.

Partnership or Research Alliance: Training and supporting excellent educators

Audience: The primary audience for this webinar is administrators from state education agencies, local boards of education, districts, and schools. We anticipate that teachers might also attend this webinar.
