Description: In the sixth webinar of the Teacher Effectiveness Webinar Series, Mr. Rob Ramsdell will discuss the use of classroom observations as one measure of teacher effectiveness in a comprehensive educator support system. By drawing on his experience with school improvement and professional development initiatives in various school settings, Mr. Ramsdell will present research-based recommendations for improving the quality and rigor of classroom observations. He will share practical suggestions for using classroom observations to generate data and to provide helpful, timely feedback for teachers as part of a comprehensive professional development approach. Participants will learn some of the key elements of reliable systems for evaluating and providing actionable feedback to teachers; they will be encouraged to analyze their understanding of their current school or district practices.

Audience: This event is designed for SEA and LEA administrators, school principals, teachers, and other stakeholders interested in teacher effectiveness. REL Mid-Atlantic anticipates approximately 75 participants for this event.

Speakers: Mr. Rob Ramsdell is the Vice President of Cambridge Education.
