Description: When examining simple classroom data, teachers value software systems that allow them to manipulate and display raw data and give them the ability to summarize data. But while the data are often available, training resources for accessing and interpreting the information are hard to find.
This webinar offers K-12 teachers a unique opportunity to create data dashboards cost efficiently, while using software that teachers already know (MS Word and Excel). Participants will work with sample Excel and Word documents to create dashboards from sample data. The webinar examples will show how to combine classroom assessment, attendance, participation, and other data into one dashboard. This webinar will also help classroom teachers searching for technical assistance on how to use data for decision making.
What are the goals of this webinar?
- To introduce participants to data dashboards and provide examples of dashboards that can be used in their classrooms
- To create a template file in MS Word that can be used as a data dashboard
- To organize data in MS Excel to generate a data dashboard
- To run the code provided to create data dashboards
