Description: Regional Educational Laboratory Midwest (REL Midwest) is hosting a training session with Illinois public school districts to train participants to use REL Midwest’s Toolkit for Assessing Learning Changes After Spring 2020 COVID-19 School Closures to understand changes in learning after COVID-19 related school closures. District staff will learn how to use the toolkit to develop targeted research questions on student learning changes after COVID-19 school building closures, surveying available data sources and determining the quality of data available, determining an appropriate approach for estimating changes in learning, interpreting findings from potential analyses, and developing next steps and identifying future data collection efforts.
