November 1, 2017

Time: 1:00 – 2:10 p.m. Pacific Time

Location: Virtual (live broadcast)

Description: Today, the high cost of college is forcing many students to leave school with mountains of debt—and no degree. Dr. Sara Goldrick-Rab, a national scholar on college access and affordability, will address this issue in a livestreamed presentation at a REL Northwest event on November 1. Goldrick-Rab, who founded the Wisconsin HOPE Lab (the nation’s only translational research laboratory seeking ways to make college more affordable), will also explore possible solutions to support college access and completion for low-income students.

Partnership or Research Alliance: Oregon Graduation and Postsecondary Success Alliance

Audience: Sara Goldrick-Rab will be the keynote speaker at the first annual convening of the Oregon Graduation and Postsecondary Success Alliance. Her talk will be livestreamed so that any practitioner or policymaker who is interested in college access and affordability can view it.

Speakers: Sara Goldrick-Rab, Temple University and Wisconsin HOPE Lab
