Location: Virtual training session
Description: REL Central will provide two virtual trainings focused on using state education agency data to understand educator retention, mobility and attrition. The second training will be held with leadership and staff in state education agencies (SEAs) to enhance their knowledge of methods and findings from research on administrator retention, mobility, and attrition; and to review existing SEA data for examining administrator retention, mobility, and attrition in their states. The training session has three objectives: (1) to review findings of research on administrator retention, mobility, and attrition; (2) to discuss characteristics of five research studies of administrator retention, mobility, and attrition that use district- and state-level data; and (3) to identify implications of the research literature for participants’ SEA data systems and data analysis activities.
