REL Appalachia Event: Paving the Way to Postsecondary Education: Nonacademic Supports for Successful Student Transitions

Location: Southwest Virginia Community College, Cedar Bluff, Virginia

Description: This half-day workshop is a unique opportunity for educators to network and discuss strategies that can help students transition smoothly from high school to postsecondary education and training programs. Participants will learn more about evidence-based practices and build awareness of the supports that educators and other professionals can provide students in the region during this important transition.

Audience: The intended audience for this event includes secondary educators, school counselors, administrators, postsecondary access and support program providers, and others in southwest Virginia who support students during postsecondary transitions.
