REL Pacific Event: A Toolkit of Resources for Engaging Families and the Community as Partners in Education (presentation at the 2019 Insular Areas and Palau Technical Assistance Meeting)

Location: Lyndon B. Johnson Department of Education Building, Washington, D.C.

Description: The presentation will provide participants at the Insular Areas and Palau Technical Assistance Meeting with information on needs-sensing, an overview of REL Pacific’s Toolkit of Resources for Engaging Families and the Community as Partners in Education, and an example of how the toolkit was implemented in Guam. This presentation will engage attendees in a series of hands-on activities to familiarize them with the Toolkit and its potential use in their jurisdictions.

Audience: The audience for this event is department of education representatives and policymakers from the insular areas and the Republic of Palau.

The audience has been invited by the U.S. Department of Education, Rural, Insular and Native Achievement Programs. REL Pacific will provide IES with an event form for the IES website, but because this meeting is targeted toward an invited audience, REL Pacific does not expect to distribute information about the event on its website or via social media.
