April 16, 2019

Time: 5:00–6:30 p.m. (PDT)

Location: Hyatt Regency, San Francisco, CA

Description: This presentation is intended to provide participants at the CIES Annual Conference with information about REL Pacific’s approach to research-focused partnerships in the REL Pacific service region and discuss the theoretical components of the partnerships and how they are implemented in the region to address high-leverage problems that could result in sustainable improvements in education outcomes. The presentation will take place as part of a roundtable discussion focused on bridging the gap between research and practice through partnerships with education systems and building system improvements that last.

Audience: The audience for this event will include CIES Conference attendees, including academics, practitioners, and students representing a variety of topics and regional experiences in the field of comparative and international education. The conference hosts will share a program containing the roundtable topics with all conference attendees.

The audience will be recruited primarily by the conference hosts. REL Pacific will also provide IES with an event form and newsflash for the IES website and will distribute information about the event on its website and via social media.

Speakers: Erin D’Amelio, REL Pacific at McREL International
