Description: The goal of this webinar is to inform stakeholders about research-based promising practices for effective transition course development intended to improve college and career readiness for high school graduates and easing the transition from high school to college. The presentation will also discuss surrounding REL Pacific’s work in support of transition course development in the Pacific Region.

Audience: The primary audience for the event will be REL Pacific Region stakeholders, including state and local education agency and community college staff. A secondary audience is expected to include mainland researchers and university staff who are focused on mitigating the effects of developmental education and aligning high school and college coursework.
Attendees will be recruited through infoblasts, social media, and the REL Pacific website. REL Pacific will also provide any requested supporting materials to IES for promotion on the IES website and event calendar.
