Description: Self-efficacy and growth mindset are social emotional skills linked to successful transition from high school to postsecondary education and training. This workshop will support school, district, and postsecondary staff in identifying evidence-based strategies for building a supportive school culture and improving students’ growth mindset and self-efficacy. Participants will leave the workshop with a plan for implementing an effective strategy.

Partnership or Research Alliance: Improving Postsecondary Transitions partnership

Audience: This workshop is intended for secondary and postsecondary practitioners in high schools, career and technical education programs, and postsecondary institutions including, but not limited to, school and district staff and college and career counselors.
