The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), in the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences (IES), will sponsor a two-day meeting of the membership of the National Forum on Education Statistics followed by a three-day 26th Annual MIS Conference.
The 2013 MIS Conference is comprised of concentrated information about best practices, innovative ideas, current issues, and practical how-to advice about management information systems for K-12 education. The conference brings together the people who work with information collection, management, transmittal, and reporting in school districts and state education agencies.
This year, the 2013 MIS Conference will offer more than 100 presentations and demonstrations conducted by practitioners from K-12 information systems.
You are invited to attend the 2013 MIS Conference and to submit a proposal for presenting a session that will add to the conference’s interest and usefulness. Topics are invited from all sources, but the major focus will be on data collection, data management, data privacy, data linking beyond K-12, data standards, data quality, data use (instructional), data use (analytical), and other.
NOTE: If you wish to submit multiple proposals for the MIS Conference, you must re-register with each of your proposal submissions. Registering multiple times does not create multiple conference registrations or overwrite your proposal submissions. |

The membership of the National Forum on Education Statistics will meet Monday and Tuesday. The 26th Annual MIS Conference will take place Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. through Friday at 11:15 a.m. |
