NCES Data Training Seminars this Summer — Applications Due in June!

This summer, the National Center for Education Statistics will sponsor two and a half-day advanced studies seminars in Washington, DC. The seminars are open to institutional researchers, education practitioners, and policy analysts from state and local education agencies and professional associations, as well as advanced graduate students and faculty members from colleges and universities nationwide. Apply for these seminars now:

STATS-DC 2011 Data Conference to be Held July 27–29

The National Center for Education Statistics will sponsor its annual NCES Data Conference in Bethesda, MD, on July 27–29. With a conference theme of "You Want It When? Balancing Timeliness and Quality," the annual conference is an opportunity for professional networking; updates on federal and national activities affecting data collection and reporting; and information about the best new approaches in collecting, reporting, and using education data.

The Conference will include training and business meetings for state Common Core of Data and EDFacts data coordinators. In addition, there will be a range of informative sessions on data collection and management, data dissemination, data linking beyond K–12, data privacy, data standards/quality, data usage, and finance.

The deadline for pre-registration is July 8; after that, only onsite registration is available.
