Fast ForWord®

Fast ForWord® is a computer-based reading program intended to help students develop and strengthen the cognitive skills necessary for successful reading and learning. The program, which is designed to be used 30 to 100 minutes a day, five days a week, for 4 to 16 weeks, includes two components.

As of August 2010, no studies of Fast ForWord® were found that fell within the scope of the Adolescent Literacy review protocol and met WWC evidence standards. Therefore, the WWC is unable to draw any research based conclusions about the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of Fast ForWord® to improve outcomes in this area.

September 2006
 

As of September 2006, no studies of Fast ForWord® were found that fell within the scope of the English Language Learners review protocol and met WWC evidence standards. Therefore, the WWC is unable to draw any research based conclusions about the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of Fast ForWord® to improve outcomes in this area.
