Description: In 2018, members of the Northern Mariana Islands Alliance for College and Career Readiness, together with REL Pacific, launched a joint Northern Marianas College and Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) Public School System project to co-design and implement a mathematics transition course to help high school seniors become better prepared for credit-bearing college coursework. This presentation will focus on how REL Pacific is supporting CNMI in developing a mathematics transition course, and will describe key activities and processes used to bring college faculty and high school teachers together to codesign a mathematics transition course and identify major design features of college preparatory mathematics.

Audience: The primary audience for this event is participants at the 43rd Annual Pacific Circle Consortium. This annual event is widely attended by a range of educators, including teachers, administrators, SEA and LEA staff, college faculty and administrators, and researchers from across the Pacific Region.
