July 10, 2019

Time: 1:40 p.m.–2:40 p.m. (Chamorro time)

Location: Hyatt Regency, Guam

Description: In 2018, members of the Northern Mariana Islands Alliance for College and Career Readiness, together with REL Pacific, launched a joint Northern Marianas College and Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) Public School System project to co-design and implement a mathematics transition course to help high school seniors become better prepared for credit-bearing college coursework. This presentation will focus on how REL Pacific is supporting CNMI in developing a mathematics transition course, and will describe key activities and processes used to bring college faculty and high school teachers together to codesign a mathematics transition course and identify major design features of college preparatory mathematics.

Research Alliance: Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Alliance for College and Career Readiness and Success
