Self-study guide for Literacy Coaching in PreK to Grade 12

Abstract:

Description: The goal of this project is to produce a self-study guide for grades PreK–12 that provides a template for a team of state, district, and school leaders to assess their implementation of a literacy coaching program and facilitate a consensus-building planning session for potential improvements. Teams consisting of state, district, or school administrators, curriculum directors, teachers, media specialists, literacy coaches and others would use the guide to assess how the literacy coach(es) are being utilized in their local context, and adjust implementation as needed in essential areas delineated in the guide, based on conclusions reached after working through the self-study process.
