Home Products Partners in Continuous Improvement: Oklahoma Excel Networked Improvement Communities
Produced by the Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) Southwest, this video describes how REL Southwest and the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) formed the Southwest Networked Improvement Communities Research Partnership to support and improve Oklahoma Excel, a data-driven and job-embedded professional development program administered by OSDE. Oklahoma Excel uses a networked improvement community (NIC) model. Through participation in NICs, teachers rapidly and iteratively test and refine practices to support their students. This approach enables teachers to obtain rapid feedback and adjust their classroom practices. REL Southwest partners with OSDE to support continuous program improvement for Oklahoma Excel by assessing needs and providing critical program supports focused on improving student outcomes.
