Description: This webinar will present research-based language models for dual language learners in pre-kindergarten (preK), with a particular focus on models that incorporate the use of home languages. The presenters will describe implementation of the models and will consider alignment challenges in the transition from preK to K–3 settings. Participants will learn strategies to consider when developing or refining language models for pre-K and aligning models between preK and K–3 settings.

Partnership or Research Alliance: Cross-REL English Learners Working Group Audience: The primary audience for this webinar includes state and district education staff who are responsible for oversight of early childhood programs and of English learner students. Early childhood and K–3 educators are also encouraged to attend.
