REL Midwest is facilitating a workshop on research-driven best practices for conducting Kindergarten Individual Development Survey (KIDS) observations. Designed for kindergarten teachers and administrators, it focuses on practical strategies, tools, and resources to incorporate KIDS observations into daily instruction. The goals of the workshop are to:

  • Introduce the concept of observational data
  • Discuss the importance of observational data collection in early childhood
  • Present best practices for observational data collection
  • Focus on KIDS as an observational tool
  • Provide team time to take a deep dive into an assigned KIDS English language arts measure
