District 191 Competency-Based Education Training Session 1: Overview

Description:

Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) Midwest is facilitating a virtual training series with Burnsville-Egan-Savage School District 191 in Minnesota to help staff understand competency-based education. Based on resources from CompetencyWorks, the training covers the definition of CBE, quality design principles for CBE, and an introduction to CBE strategies for school model redesign. Participants work as a large group and in smaller groups to reflect on what they learn about CBE and whether this is a viable pathway for their district.
