Testing mindset interventions

Previous research conducted in Clark County, NV shows that an early warning system can successfully identify 8th graders who will fall off track in the 9th grade and that measures of growth mindset and academic behaviors are strong predictors of 9th grade on-track rates. With this in mind, Clark County School District (CCSD) is interested in testing the effectiveness of interventions designed to boost academic mindsets and behaviors with the goal of improving 9th grade on-track rates, particularly for students that are identified as being at risk before they even enter high school.
