Creating Culturally Affirming Spaces Webinar Series
The first webinar in this two-part series provided research and practical, evidence-based examples of culturally affirming school and classroom behaviors, policies, and practices that value the cultural identities of students and staff and foster students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being. The second webinar shared how culturally responsive strategies can be used to support academic and social and emotional development and presented systemic leadership approaches and strategies for implementing culturally affirming environments.

COVID-19 Recovery and Strategic Use of Funds from The American Rescue Plan (ARP) of 2021: Selecting and Measuring the Effectiveness of Evidence-Based Practices
Participants learned about applying Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) evidence levels to select appropriate interventions using ARP funds, with a focus on two content areas: accelerated learning and socioemotional supports for students. Participants also learned about measuring related outcomes and tracking progress.
