Improving Priority Outcomes

REL West is supporting a collective impact effort in Utah spearheaded by the United Way of Salt Lake to improve education, economic, and health outcomes for families in the region. To accelerate progress towards a number of long-term goals, collaborating organizations including the state board of education, local school districts, the governor's office, local businesses, and many more are focused on key education milestones, which range from kindergarten readiness and 3rd grade reading proficiency to postsecondary readiness and college completion. REL West is providing data and research expertise to these collaborating agencies so that they can effectively engage in joint discussions on identifying community needs and begin implementing change ideas for solving their communities' most persistent problems. A particular focus is preschool participation and kindergarten readiness.
